To say that a Fashion Designer is simply a person who designs clothing and accessories, while correct does not encompass all that being a Fashion Designer entails. The capability to supervise your own work including motivation and organizational techniques is present day’s demand in work. Even though a rigorous educational background is not imperative for a designer’s portfolio during a job hunt.

However there is some formal training that a designer must have. It is necessary to get your degree from a college or school that provides a variety of courses in fashion design. When you enroll in an accredited fashion design school in California, you have the option of getting a bachelor’s degree in either art or science if you select an art major with a focus on costume design.
