There is No Such Thing as a Standard Solution

Filed under: Best Management — admin @ 5:57 pm

A standard is something we can all benefit from. The world around us has been standardized. We all drive at the “right” side of the road. We all have a DVD that can be used in any player. We use a standard credit card. The barcode on the cornflakes is also standard. The electricity plug you use for shaving (your legs) are also standard. The decimal system is standard. The articles are interfaces by a standard XML protocol. If you are serviced by your bank you pay a standard commission. The software in your company runs on a standard server and if we are ill we all go and visit the doctor. That is the standard.

But behind the standard is the exception. There are a few countries where they drive left. You cannot use a video from the US in Europe, if you travel you need an adapter for the electric appliances, besides the decimal systems there are other systems in use, one server appears to support to a different standard. If your portfolio is exceeding the standard limit you will benefit a special cut on your commission. The financial world uses another XML than the industrial world and if you do not agree with the diagnosis of your doctor you can visit an alternative therapist.

A standard is set by majority voting; the standard doesn’t have to be optimal, if it is broadly accepted, it will be de facto the standard.

In line with this, a standard solution is one that is commonly accepted by most people. But this is not easy, especially in business where there are many flavors and preferences.

A manager would more easily accept and even propose a standard solution because it serves efficiency. At the other end, there is the specialist which is normally not served with a standard approach. This (conflict) is most visible in hospitals where the medical staff and management must agree on this issue.

Finding the right balance is the solution. Negotiating is the means to get there.

The Popular Notebook Trends At The Present

Filed under: Universe Of Technology — admin @ 11:34 am

Its insane that laptops are now becoming a standard consumer electronic, as if you should own one. Those looking for the latest montevina platform could be kept waiting as manufacturers have already mentioned possible shipment shortages. This is one market which I don’t think will be affected with all the financial crysis that seems to be going on. The technology loops are so short too which makes it all the more of an up hill struggle.

Gaming notebooks have recently been enticing a lot of attention. You can actually get a very high spec for your money these days because even the enthusiast technology is dropping into the mass market area very quickly. For those who desire portability, the performance notebooks give in terms of gaming shouldn’t be frowned upon much longer as power is improved. Performance to one side, also worthy of a mention is the radically slim case designs we are seeing these days. Gaming speed between notebooks and desktop computers should always be partial to desktops though, simply because desktops are always going to be considerably bigger and more faster. Gaming notebooks are the yardstick of speed for the laptop computer market and it will be interesting to see how the forthcoming technology fairs.

Custom laptops will always be around because the common configurations don’t offer the specification the certain niche consumers require. The concept of obtaining third party components compels some people in my opinion. It just gives the buyer more options when it all boils down. Lets face it. You probably aren’t like everyone else and hence normal laptop computers won’t do. Custom built notebooks cater for everyone regardless of their specialist needs. You can hunt down of companies who sell direct so there are a lot of options as well. Brand names are actaully being omitted because of this.

Next gen notebooks do look like an appealing option. Minute internet notebooks are the fresh development to get mass market desire. Plenty of equivalent devices have already been launched at a fast pace. These days people demand for thin laptops but they also desire massive lcd’s. If you employ slightly less potent components then I figure this is very possible even now. Guessing from whats occuring it looks like we’ll begin seeing ultra portable gaming laptops. Manufacturers are always looking to differentiate themselves in this competitive market so that keeps things improving.
