Its insane that laptops are now becoming a standard consumer electronic, as if you should own one. Those looking for the latest montevina platform could be kept waiting as manufacturers have already mentioned possible shipment shortages. This is one market which I don’t think will be affected with all the financial crysis that seems to be going on. The technology loops are so short too which makes it all the more of an up hill struggle.
Gaming notebooks have recently been enticing a lot of attention. You can actually get a very high spec for your money these days because even the enthusiast technology is dropping into the mass market area very quickly. For those who desire portability, the performance notebooks give in terms of gaming shouldn’t be frowned upon much longer as power is improved. Performance to one side, also worthy of a mention is the radically slim case designs we are seeing these days. Gaming speed between notebooks and desktop computers should always be partial to desktops though, simply because desktops are always going to be considerably bigger and more faster. Gaming notebooks are the yardstick of speed for the laptop computer market and it will be interesting to see how the forthcoming technology fairs.
Custom laptops will always be around because the common configurations don’t offer the specification the certain niche consumers require. The concept of obtaining third party components compels some people in my opinion. It just gives the buyer more options when it all boils down. Lets face it. You probably aren’t like everyone else and hence normal laptop computers won’t do. Custom built notebooks cater for everyone regardless of their specialist needs. You can hunt down of companies who sell direct so there are a lot of options as well. Brand names are actaully being omitted because of this.
Next gen notebooks do look like an appealing option. Minute internet notebooks are the fresh development to get mass market desire. Plenty of equivalent devices have already been launched at a fast pace. These days people demand for thin laptops but they also desire massive lcd’s. If you employ slightly less potent components then I figure this is very possible even now. Guessing from whats occuring it looks like we’ll begin seeing ultra portable gaming laptops. Manufacturers are always looking to differentiate themselves in this competitive market so that keeps things improving.
Check out a few cheap gaming laptops here.

A capital equipment manufacturer in the mid-western United
States with annual revenues of $100M, running VISIBILITY ERP, is
also responsible for after-market parts and service. These
systems contain unique fabrications and electronic controls,
along with commercial motors, bearings, filters, and the like.
After-market spare parts sales represent 20% of revenue and 35%
of profit for this operation.
Similar ETO (Engineer-to-Order) manufacturers are facing similar
challenges including:
* High cost of equipment downtime
* Deep bills of material
* Complex engineering design changes
* Extended product life cycle
* A mixture of paper and electronic documentation
Engineered product manufacturers pride themselves on their
competency in designing unique equipment as well as fabricating
major components and assemblies. Downtime for a key piece of
equipment impacts an entire manufacturing process flow at the
installation site and cost can be measured in thousands of
dollars per hour. Field technicians responsible for equipment
maintenance are a mixture of owner company employees, third
party contract servicemen and factory service engineers.
Because of the one-of-a-kind equipment configuration,
researching service part specification and availability required
time-consuming retrieval of original build documents by in-house
sales administration personnel. Site repair personnel often turn
to local fabrication and supply houses for a ‘good enough’
replacement.
Previous MRP systems often consist of a small, standard-cost MRP
system. Without improvements on the product configuration,
capture and accomplishment of rapid retrieval times, customer
satisfaction and purchasing loyalty would be lost.

In the world of science, there is excited speculation about recent discoveries of individual neurons in the brain, with striking capabilities. They had discovered a neuron, which fired on recognition of just one special face. Scientists spotted this using microelectrodes, which could identify the firing of a single neuron. Buried deep in the amygdala of a female patient, they discovered the so-called “Bill Clinton” neuron. The cell fired on recognizing three very different images of the former President; a line drawing of a laughing Clinton; a formal painting depicting him; and a photograph of him in a crowd. The cell remained mute when the patient viewed images of other politicians and celebrities. In other patients, scientists found similar cells that responded selectively to actors, including Jennifer Anniston, Brad Pitt, and Halle Berry.
Most neuroscientists had believed that specific nerve cells handled individual pixels as on a television screen. Suddenly, a single neuron could identify Clinton. Could there be a “thinking neuron?” Scientists felt it impossible for an individual cell to be clever enough to make sense of a concept as subtle as Clinton. Even the world’s fastest supercomputers would have difficulty performing that pattern-recognition feat. So, how could a single neuron ever learn to recognize a President? Such speculation on the nature of neurons continued ceaselessly in scientific circles. This was surprising. How could scientists remain blind to the significance of the Nobel Prize awarded in 2004 to Lynda Buck for the discovery of the recognition processes in the olfactory system?
There, Buck had already reported a “Sweat” neuron and an “Orange” neuron. Those experiments concerned the recognition of smells. She reported that octanol smelled like oranges and octanoic acid, like sweat, even though their chemical structures were similar. Yet, different neurons fired for each smell. Was this just more evidence of thinking neurons? Yet, Buck had a simple explanation. The olfactory system recognized different combinations of firing for different odors. First, a single receptor recognized multiple odorants. Second, a single odorant was recognized by multiple receptors. And third, different odorants were recognized by different combinations of receptors. It was this combinatorial coding system, which enabled the olfactory system to recognize millions of odors. So, there were Sweat neurons, Rose neurons and Orange neurons. And millions more. Could it be that Clinton and Berry neurons were no different?
Was it only the olfactory system, which used combinatorial coding? The mind received kaleidoscopic combinations of millions of sensations. Could instant combinatorial recognition extended beyond the olfactory system? Could it be the essence of the neural system? A new book, The Intuitive Algorithm, suggested just this. The mind used combinatorial coding and pattern recognition to propel recognition through many neural regions like a lightning streak. The mind saw, recognized, interpreted and acted. Data was reported to move from input to output in a bare 20 milliseconds. In the blink of eye. Myriad processes converted light, sound, touch and smell instantly into your nerve impulses. Special regions recognized those combinations as objects and events. The limbic system, another region, interpreted those events to generate emotions. A fourth region responded to those emotions with actions. The mind perceived, identified, evaluated and acted. Pattern recognition and combinatorial coding got you off the hot stove in a fraction of a second.

So where did astrology come from? It had to start somewhere. The origins may or may not surprise you but they are certainly fascinating as in its early beginnings many people felt that the battle between astrology and “real” science would destroy one or the other, with astrology being the likely victim. Interestingly, it didn’t work out quite that way.
Long before there was ever such a thing as physics, chemistry, biology or any of those horrible subjects you cringed at having to take in high school, there was, believe it or not, astrology. Technically, this was the very first science, though there are those who would argue that it isn’t a science at all but just a lot of hocus-pocus.
Astrology goes back to about 2900 BC. During this time, the Sumerians built temples in the form of pyramids. They did this to observe the stars and planets. Some say that it is even possible that Astrology goes back even farther than this but there is little evidence to support this theory.
It wasn’t until about 2000 BC that the magi of Mesopotamia believed that there were indeed no accidents. He believed that everything in the universe including people, objects and all events, was connected. Not only did these magi, or priests study the stars but they also looked for omens in weather patterns. They would predict future events from the internal organs of many animals and even listened to the words of trees, dogs, cats and insects to hear what they had to say.
The main use of astrology, however, was to study the relationship between the position of the Earth and other bodies in the heavens such as planets, stars and even meteors and asteroids. They believed beyond any doubt that the position of each object in the universe has an effect on every person and even on our planet. It should be pointed out that with astrology, our Earth has no effect on these bodies themselves. This may or may not be true. Nobody knows for certain.
Because astrology was the first science, it was the first science taught in universities and continued to be taught all the way up until the 1600s. During this time the so called “rational” sciences began to take over and astrology was looked at as more of a myth. Ironically, however, almost all astrology professors were college educated with degrees in various fields, mostly in psychology or counseling.
In spite of this education, especially today, astrology is not taken very seriously as an academic discipline. Some colleges may still offer classes on the subject but programs specializing in astrology are pretty much non existent. Still, there are many people in the world, including well educated people who take astrology quite seriously.
The battle between real science and the occult will no doubt continue. But for the purposes of this series of articles we will treat astrology like the serious science that it was 4000 years ago when man first began to study the stars and the planets.

DNA testing in its widest context can represent a number of different techniques and protocols, all aimed at providing information about the genetic make-up of an individual. For example, some of the most common applications of DNA testing include:
• Paternity Testing - DNA testing can be used to virtually prove if an alleged male is the biological father of a child where the mother is known.
• Forensic Testing - DNA testing is widely used in the forensic community to place criminals at scenes of crime, or to demonstrate contact between two individuals, where DNA containing material such as blood, semen or saliva has been transferred.
• Genealogical Testing - DNA testing is used to trace or to confirm relationships with ancestors that may or may not be alive today. Furthermore genetic lineage can be followed through generations, by looking at the degree of commonality or variation between the DNA of one individual and a biological relative.
• Species Identification - DNA testing is now routinely being used to help identify the source of material confiscated by the authorities. The usual request is confined to species identification.
Of all the various uses, of which there are many more, the most commonly used and often misunderstood application is that to Paternity testing. DNA Paternity testing is only about 15 years old, and makes use of the fact that an individuals DNA is derived from each of the parents, fifty percent coming from each parent. Therefore if the DNA of the child is analysed alongside the mothers, it follows through that any DNA present within the child that does not come from the mother must come from the Father. This inheritance pattern allows us to compare the unaccounted for DNA in the child against putative Fathers.
If a suggested males DNA profile does not match the additional bands present within the child, there can be no doubt, given the test has been carried out under strict laboratory processes, that the male can not be the biological father of the child. However if there is a match between the DNA from the male and the DNA from the child, the degree of match needs to be evaluated, before any conclusions can be drawn. This degree of match of the outcome (inclusion) is measured in a figure known as the paternity index (PI), and is often expressed as a percentage certainty.
Irrespective of the type of DNA testing you would like, done, there are some fundamental standards that your testing company should adhere to. These include a strong quality ethos, supported by an externally accredited scientific process. Duplication of any reported results is a must, and if the results are to be used in a court of law, there are additional safeguards that are required. Make sure all of this is clarified before you commission any DNA testing work.

Traffic Exchanges. What are they? How do they work? What do they do?
First of all, a “Traffic Exchange” is exactly that, a way to exchange traffic, a way to get visitors to your site. This happens by you visiting sites, in exchange for pageviews to your site.
There are LOTS of Traffic Exchanges out there. Some good, some bad, but most of them work in basically the same ways. You join, visit sites, refer others and build up credits.
There are 2 main types of Traffic Exchanges (there`s actually a few more types of exchanges, but these are the ones we`ll concentrate on here):
Manual Surf and Auto Surf.
With manual surf, you have to click on a button to get to the next site, with auto surf, you can sit back and watch the pages change automatically, without having to lift a finger. Nowadays, the trend seems to be that the exchanges offer multiple choices for surfing: manual, auto, different timers (15, 20 or 30 seconds before next site). A lot of them now offer games while surfing, as a chance to earn extra credits.
Traffic Exchanges give out credits and bonuses in a multitude of ways. Some give bonus credits for signing up, or for referring others, or even while you`re surfing the exchange, after you`ve visited a certain amount of sites. Almost ALL Traffic Exchanges give you a percentage of the credits your referrals build up, so it`s always a good idea to build a good downline in them. Some exchanges let you use your credits in different ways too: buying banner impressions, lottery tickets, referrals, scratchcards, just to name a few
One thing to take serious note of is the timers, and how long it actually takes your page to load, If you`re using a 15 second timer, and your page takes 20 seconds to load, people won`t see it before it`s time to click on to the next site. The best pages to use in Traffic Exchanges are small, fast loading, attention grabbing so-called “splash pages”. You can link to the page you want people to see from the splashpage, or add a box where people can request more information via email. If you can make your splash page interesting enough, then getting people to click a link on it shouldn`t be too hard.
If what you need is a ton of quick hits to your sites, use autosurfers with 15 second timers. You can still get signups/requests for more info IF your site loads fast enough, and really yells out to the viewer. If you want your site to actually be seen, with maybe better signup rates, opt for the manual exchanges and 30 second timers. This forces people to stay at your site longer, which in turn could make them pay more attention to your site.
Be aware that a lot of Traffic Exchanges don`t allow the use of popups, rotators or re-directors on whichever site you`re promoting, as they are very hard to keep track of and can include very unsavoury stuff such as a virus or even porn. It`s ALWAYS a good idea to use a popup killer when you`re surfing the traffic exchanges. I personally use a program called KillAd, which is brilliant in terminator mode….hehehe. Apart from the risk of reaching “nasty” sites, popups can really drain your computers resources, making it sluggish and slow.
Most Traffic Exchanges these days have both free and paid options, where the paid option is basically just an enhancement of free, making it easier to gain credits and referrals, although some of them DO allow you to earn a commission on referral upgrades.
In closing: You will most likely come across “cheat programs/software made specifically to cheat the traffic exchanges. They work by racking up credits for you, without you having to actually USE the exchange. Whatever you do, DON`T use them! Apart from the fact that you`ll most likely lose your accounts in the traffic exchanges, can you imagine if everybody was using them? Nobody would see any sites, and nobody would get any results.
Above all, keep all your promotional efforts honest.

Most people find it difficult, by exercising meditation, to focus and to empty totally their minds.
There is a technique to eliminate that problem.
Start with choosing a certain daytime to your convenience to do your every day meditation.
Over time, it will become your most pleasant time of your day, you’ll awaiting it from day to day. It will become your most intimate time during your day and a secret place to retire to.
You can meditate how long you ever like and have time to. It can be during the daytime or also in evening(but attention - do not fall asleep). Do it for 10 minutes or for ten hours, it’s by you.
You can do it sitting in a comfortable cheer or lay down supine.
Your position should be comfortable enough to permit you a complete relaxation.
During your meditation, you should be all over relaxed and not force any muscles of your body. Before you start relax a little, calm down from stress and try to eliminate any thinking about whatever, even not about the thinking itself.
Focus your attention onto your breathing, follow your respiration with your thoughts, feel how the air goes in and out through your nose and brings a stream of energy to you. (Never breath through your mouth!) Imagine your breathing as a stream of pure energy coming in to you.
Pay attention for your neck, often it will be forced without you’re conscious and feel it. Try avoiding that because it brings you to headaches.
You respiration should be like that what you’ve learned from the yoga positions, meaning the complete yoga respiration.
(See http://www.meditationsession.com/exercises.html)
Again, think anything, try to empty your mind completely.
If you should find that difficult to do, let your thoughts simple flow without paying any attention to them, the mind is like an old wife that never will stop and shut up with the words, let them flow.
A little trick can help stopping your mind from thinking; try to turn your closed eyes up right to the middle of your front between your eyes brown.
There is following the Indian tradition your third eye and in fact you’ll perceive there during deeper meditation states all of your existence or being.
During deeper meditation states you perceived being is not anymore in your body, your body presence will fade away and you’ll feel your existence and your being only there - on the third eyes dimension.
Don’t scare about any strange sensations or feelings like some warm stream along you spinal column or shiver or else.
You don’t have to fear nothing, nothing can happen to you.
You have full control of yourself even if you do not perceive your body anymore, you can wake up whenever you want, in every instant.
You are the master of yourself.
With more practice, you’ll start to perceive different colours - choose one of them as your favoured one to concentrate on the next times.
Let yourself slip into this colours till you’re one with the colour itself.
That can you make happen with every image you like and get during your meditation; it can be a flower, the sun, the sea or water generally, it can be love, it can be friendship, it can be whatever you choose and focus on.
In this way you can even program your meditation to concentrate to one purpose only to stronger your behaviour.
Of course, you should choose only themes that are noble like altruism, love and so on.
Don’t choose themes that are not noble they can drive to bad experiences.
In any case surrender yourself do never combat any impression or imagine you get during your meditation, be conscious that nothing can happen to you, you are the master of your meditation.
By using the holosync meditation music technique (see on http://www.meditationsession.com) all the process will be guided from the music itself and it will be very easy for you to entry in deep meditation states.
Use the meditation music technique to ease and make deeper and faster your meditation and get real great results.
With meditation you can grow yourself and model your character and your way of life.
The power is inside yourself, use it to make more out of your life.

A laptop company called Rizeon, based in the UK seem to be getting some positive praise on the internet yet I had never even heard of them until browsing through the laptop forums. Their whole laptop range seems to be focused on the high end of the performance bar, featuring Intel centrino technology and aimed towards speed freaks and gamers.
Purchasing a Rizeon laptop is not cheap. As they are all performance focused the starting prices are usually £600 up but after comparing some other prices I think it’s fair to say they are some of the best value laptops around. Specification for specification they usually work out cheaper and they don’t even skimp on the quality of internal components. According to their site they include brands like Seagate, Kingston and Intel. They do pride themselves on providing highly reliable, quality laptops.
Rizeon’s website is rather easy to use and it’s good to see the large range of upgrade options available. I always prefer custom built laptops because the standard laptops you find in retail stores just lack performance parts. Rizeon’s current range varies from 13.3inch up to 17inch systems with the latter being primarily positioned as a gaming laptop because it features the Nvidia 8800m GTX video chip which is the fastest available today.
I must say I’m very impressed on first impression. Its good to see that you can buy performance laptop computers without having to pay an arm and leg like when purchasing from the larger companies. Sure there are other brands doing similar things but they seem to be targeting other niches or trying to battle with the big boys in the market place which is generally a losing battle. You do get a lot for your money with when buying Rizeon laptops so I would recommend checking out what’s on offer.

Calibration standards, performance audits, and the FDA’s
never-ending safety, labeling, and inspection requirements are
just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to dealing with the
increasingly stringent quality control standards of the beverage
industry. As these quality standards become stricter, beverage
producers are increasingly called upon to get products to market
faster using fewer resources, while simultaneously managing
ingredient quality, and ultimately, risk.
Mix rigorous regulations and mounting market challenges with
exploding competition and the opportunity for enormous economic
reward, and it becomes obvious that products must be perfect the
first time around to fulfill production requirements, comply
with distribution standards, and ultimately provide each
consumer with the exact same exceptional product every time.
All of which makes quality control more necessary than ever.
Quality Assurance in the beverage industry starts by ensuring
that top quality gases are used to perform the carbonation
process and continues through the bottling and distributing
process with a high-tech quality control examination.
On the top of the list of gases regulated in the world of drink
is carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the main components of many of
the beverages produced today, including soda, beer, sparkling
water, and sports drinks. CO2 has also become a major
constituent of orange juice through supercritical CO2 processing
during pasteurization and has even entered the world of dairy
with the addition of “Refreshing Power Milk,” a new carbonated
milk hybrid, to the refreshments market.
Leading beverage manufacturers in this $700 billion industry are
taking the critical step to ensure purity of beverage-grade CO2
by using analytical support gases and quality assurance
services. Since ensuring purity of CO2 is such a crucial factor
in the beverage production process, choosing a specialty gas company
to provide purification, calibration, and cross-reference
services for your products should be a priority.
Keep in mind that specialty gas companies outside of the
beverage industry hold a uniquely favorable position as
authoritative and neutral third-party qualifiers. These
companies provide experience in developing trace contaminant
calibration standards as well as independence from the supply
and certification of beverage grade CO2, which helps to ensure
unbiased statistical and graphical reporting.
Regardless of the industry from which the service company
originates, it is vital that it provides specialized service in
the CO2 industry and adheres to industry standards on commercial
quality with regard to CO2.
Some more guidelines to consider when choosing a Quality Control
Specialty Gas Service: * Your CO2 supplier should provide
certification and analysis indicating compliance with commercial
quality standards, such as ISBT, the International Society of
Beverage Technologists
* Your quality assurance service company should have the
resources available to create custom gas mixtures for CO2
ingredient quality control. Typical components include (but are
not limited to) the following:
Methane Ethane Ethanol Dimethyl Ether Ethyl Acetate Methanol
Ammonia Nitric Oxide Nitrogen Dioxide Carbonyl Sulfide
Acetaldehyde Benzene Cyclohexane Ethylbenzene Diethyl Ether
Toluene m-Xylene p-Xylene o-Xylene
* Preparing two sets of gas mixtures should be standard
procedure for your chosen service company, with double analysis
of each set to check for minor component stability, and
guarantee a shelf life for the components.
* To further assure accurate results, your service company
should identify inaccuracies and verify analytical processes by
having participant labs analyze blind internal audit standards.
* Your service company should furnish a report to your company’s
quality control department detailing analytical results,
including a statistical representation of the performance of
each participant laboratory.
* Membership in the International Society of Beverage
Technologists (ISBT) Quality Committee, Carbon Dioxide
Subcommittee, should be maintained in order to keep abreast of
emerging analytical methods and technologies within the beverage
industry.
* Top of the line service companies will provide CO2
Cross-Referencing Services to confirm the accuracy of critical
analytical processes. These programs provide beverage
manufacturers with a reliable and objective method of monitoring
the performance of multiple laboratories who qualify carbon
dioxide used in carbonated beverages as well as confirm
ingredient quality. Cross-Referencing Service should be
considered in order to:
o Achieve the highest degree of confidence in the accuracy of
analyses; o Confidentially identify inconsistencies or other
problems in analytical processes; and o Maintain reliable and
accurate intra-company quality assurance.
* Most importantly, make sure the service company has top rate
Internal CO2 Audit Standards to meet the most demanding accuracy
requirements for virtually any type of customized mixture and
that a Certificate of Accuracy is provided for each cylinder.
By choosing a Quality Control Specialty Gas Service
carefully, your company can be sure to keep pace with the
ever-expanding list of regulations — and quite possibly gain an
even larger piece of this multi-billion dollar pie.
